Graham has also worked as the Economist at J P Morgan Australia for a number of years; and has worked with Coca-Cola Amatil in Investor Relations.

From 2007 to 2010, Van was a Senior Research Analyst at Russell Investments in London. Prior to that, he served as the Head of Bond Markets/Economics Research at Landesbank Baden-Württemberg (Germany’s third-largest bank by assets) for six years.

Whilst at Commerzbank, Simon was asked to join the trustee board to oversee the bank’s occupational pension schemes. Shortly afterwards he became chair of the asset allocation committee, a role he continues to perform to the present day. Simon has also worked in e-commerce for several years and managed all the money market activities for an institutional platform.

He is currently focusing on his involvement with Pentrus Independent Trustees and his role as a Commissioned Officer in the UK Armed Forces Reserves. He also enjoys chairing Mallowstreet University Investment dinners, particularly when contentious issues are being discussed.

Simon divides his time between Anglesey and London and when he isn’t working he enjoys reading, hill walking, yacht racing and is currently considering refreshing his woodworking skills with a view to training as a boat builder.

Prior to this, Shashank was assistant director in Russell’s London-based client service group. There he led a number of client relationships with institutional investors in the U.K., Continental Europe and the Middle East, primarily on the delivery of information on Russell’s fund implementation capabilities.

Shashank joined Russell in London in May 1999. In that role he advised clients in the U.K., Continental Europe, U.S., the Middle East and Africa, providing advice on all aspects of the investment process, from governance and objective setting to implementation and performance evaluation. This included pension funds, foundations, insurance companies and government organizations. Shashank was head of asset allocation for the EMEA region. This responsibility included the ongoing development and enhancement of Russell’s asset-liability models and risk management tools.

Shashank spent two years in Russell’s Sydney office where he provided consulting advice to a range of Australasian superannuation funds, insurance companies and other financial institutions.

Prior to joining Russell, Shashank worked in the pensions consultancy of Aon Consulting for six years. There he was involved in the day-to-day management of a number of projects, and oversaw a team of specialists in providing consultancy on a range of actuarial issues, including valuations, sales and purchases, individual calculations and pensions legislation.

Sital previously worked at Standard Life Investments (SLI) as an Investment Director. She worked in a variety of roles including relationship manager responsible for the sales and product channel of SLI’s largest direct client Standard Life Assurance Limited (£50 billion). She was also SLI’s multi-manager product specialist with overall responsibility for sales, marketing, product development and due diligence of the multi-manager funds with £500 million assets under management. In addition she had overall responsibility for setting up a new DC investment-only open architecture platform, which won over £1bn assets under management within a year.

Prior to this Sital’s role at SLI included establishing and managing institutional consultant relationships to improve product ratings and new business opportunities from the investment consulting community across asset classes. On first joining SLI, Sital was responsible for building strong client relationships with the trustees of institutional defined benefit pension schemes.

Before joining SLI, Sital worked at Mercer Investment Consulting and was responsible for researching fund manager capabilities – specialising in equities and socially responsible investment. Other responsibilities included making strategic asset allocation recommendations based on asset liability and risk modeling for DB clients.

Prior to joining Mercer, Sital worked at HSBC where she was responsible for managing client relationships with other banks.

Based in London, Albert is responsible for the portfolio management of all Russell global bond funds; he assumed this role in 2011. Prior to this, Albert was a portfolio manager in Russell’s Seattle headquarters, where he managed core plus, short duration and stable value portfolios for institutional and retail clients.
